Haldeman & Frazier is a manufacturer’s representative agency covering California and the Western United States, focused entirely on medical device design and manufacturing. We connect R&D engineers and sourcing teams with a curated group of manufacturers across metal components, polymer extrusions, nitinol wire and tube, polyimide tubing and coated wire, marker bands, medical coils and springs, guidewires, mandrels and core wires, balloons, etched PTFE liners, FEP heat shrink tubing, shaped wire, custom stamping, precision machining, micro metal 3D printing, plating, laser cutting, stent cutting and FEA, catheter subassembly, full catheter design and manufacturing, braided and coiled shafts, pull ring assemblies, endoscope subassembly, and engineering services.
We don’t represent everyone. We represent manufacturers we’d want to work with if we were the customer, people who move fast, take ownership, and solve problems without making things complicated. When a customer was struggling with marker band lead times and rising costs, we brought in a supplier built specifically to fix that. When nitinol sourcing kept hitting the same ingot melt bottleneck, we found a partner who changed how the industry thinks about nitinol alloying. That’s how we build the portfolio.

Kevin Frazier is President of Haldeman & Frazier. For more than 25 years, he has helped medical device companies bring new ideas to life faster and with fewer surprises, closing the gap between engineering ambition and production reality.

Barry Teshima is the Vice President of Haldeman & Frazier. He works directly with R&D and sourcing teams on cardiovascular, neurovascular, electrophysiology, orthopedic, wearable, and surgical robotics programs, cutting weeks or months out of supplier selection cycles that would otherwise stall a program.
The challenge for most teams isn't lack of options; it's knowing which suppliers have genuinely solved similar problems, where the realistic choke points are, and what's achievable within a given timeline. Barry brings the kind of nuance that only comes from watching many programs move from prototype through launch: raw material constraints that aren't visible yet, tolerances that look achievable on paper but won't be repeatable at scale, and where the technology simply isn't there yet.
His approach is diagnostic before prescriptive. Understand the design intent, the timeline, the manufacturability risks, then connect the team with the manufacturer who has already worked through that specific problem.
